Terms and conditions
of use
What you can do, what is forbidden, and what happens if you break the rules. Written to be read, not endured.
These terms govern access to the uniora.games site and use of the UniOra app. Creating an account or playing constitutes acceptance.
1. Publisher and purpose
UniOra is published by LE RENDEZVOUS LOGIC, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered with the Thonon-les-Bains Trade and Companies Register under number 890 296 908, registered office at 6 rue du Parc, Blue Business Building, 74100 Annemasse, France. Contact: contact@uniora.games.
UniOra is a skill game across twenty universes, with an international ranking by nation. Access to the game is free.
2. Player account
Creation
An account requires a valid email address, a username and a chosen nation. A player may hold only one account.
Âge
Players under 15 must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian, collected at sign-up via a parent's email address.
Security
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions taken from your account. Any suspicious use must be reported to us without delay.
Username
Usernames are public. Abusive, discriminatory or sexual usernames, or usernames impersonating someone else or promoting unlawful content, are forbidden. A username breaching this rule may be changed without notice.
3. Rules of use
The following are forbidden:
- using a modified client, an input emulator, a bot or any device altering how the game runs;
- creating secondary accounts intended to influence a national ranking;
- exploiting a bug instead of reporting it;
- selling, buying, trading or sharing an account;
- any attempt at unauthorised access to the servers, as well as mass extraction of data from the site or the app;
- any harassment of or threat towards another player.
4. Leaderboard
Only a complete run validated by our servers is recorded. A time judged inconsistent is discarded, without that decision amounting to a sanction.
Your nation is chosen at sign-up and can be changed once per season. Points earned stay credited to the original nation.
The World Championship is free, open to any registered player and carries no prize. No purchase, item or option confers any ranking advantage.
5. Sanctions
Where the rules are broken, and depending on how seriously, we may: invalidate a time, remove an account from the leaderboard, suspend access temporarily, or terminate the account.
Save in cases of serious breach or where the law requires otherwise, the decision is notified by email together with its reasons. It can be challenged at contact@uniora.games within thirty days; the challenge is reviewed by someone who did not take the original decision.
6. Content and reporting
Content published by players — username, profile elements — remains their responsibility. By publishing it, you grant the publisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free display licence, limited to operating and promoting the service.
Under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, any content that may be unlawful can be reported to contact@uniora.games. Every notification receives an acknowledgement, a review without undue delay and a reasoned response.
Screenshots and videos of runs may be shared freely by players, including for monetisation, provided they do not imply an official partnership.
7. Intellectual property
The game, its universes, visuals, sounds, brand and code remain the property of LE RENDEZVOUS LOGIC. An account grants a personal, non-transferable right of use, with no transfer of ownership.
8. Service availability
The service is provided with no guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.
The publisher may change the universes, the trials and the game balance. Any substantial change to the leaderboard rules is announced before it takes effect.
Should the service be permanently discontinued, at least three months' notice is published on the site and in the app.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the app, without giving a reason and free of charge. Deletion is permanent and means losing your recorded times.
Data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy.
10. Liability
The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants to consumers, nor the publisher's liability in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. Any substantial change is notified in the app at least thirty days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service constitutes acceptance; otherwise, you may delete your account.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, a complaint can be sent to contact@uniora.games. Failing an amicable settlement, consumers may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator, or use the European online dispute resolution platform.
[TO BE COMPLETED: contact details of the consumer mediator — mandatory where sales are made to consumers, Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code.]
